That was followed by several boring speeches. Gladys Wheeler and I sat together off to the side while that was going on. After the speeches Gladys went to socialize with the members. My husband was standing several feet off to my right. His back to me as he was talking to one of his friends. When they turned and started to walk towards me, instant panic ran through my body. I was expecting this but that didn't help. Together the three of us left the main room to find a bedroom. |
